Gratitude Challenge: Day 18

Today on day 18 of the gratitude challenge over at Garden of Learning, I am grateful for a few things; though all are interconnected.  We as a family are very grateful for all of the opportunities we have to get out and experience nature.  We are always Friends of the Zoo, going sometimes more than once a week.
We have multiple nature centers, that offer trails, animals and learning experiences galore.
Koty, our resident animal lover, has made it his life's dream to be a zoologist.  He was inspired by Animal Planets "Meerkat Manor", he loved that show and has planned his future based on that love.  There is not much he can't tell you about the many animals that populate our zoo, he hasn't wavered in his dreams; and I hope he never does.
We have a local, privately owned animal collection, that was awesome to visit and hold their many babies.
Thanks for stopping by, head on over here, to see what others are grateful for today!

Hi Christi. Four boys! Whew! I have 3, and a girl. We love nature study as well. Looking forward to visiting your blog more!

Isn't it great when there is something that they love like this? It's nice that you can be there so often and encourage the love and the learning.

What a blessing to be near so many different nature learning opportunities. My daughter also loves animals. It's fun to see that love grow and blossom over the years. :)

We are a little jealous here...our closest zoo is 3 1/2 hours away.

We have a small zoo about an hour away. We go at least once a year. One of my daughters wanted to be a zoologist until she heard she'd have to give them shots, meds, help birthing (that's gross stuff lol). LOL Kids. I pray your son is able to follow his dream. Great photos too.

We love the zoo! We visited the Kansas City one many years ago. I would love to go back. A friend of ours used to work there. Enjoyed your post and pictures.
