It's a God thing!

Today we had something happen that just defied imagination.  Sissy had a dental appt. today that was very long and complicated, she needed three crowns w/pulpotomy and 3 fillings.  I have worked and saved the last two weeks to come up with the $300+ dollars that I would need to pay our part of the bill.  Luckily, she ended up needing 2 crowns and 4 fillings which saved us over $50 dollars.

As I was paying the bill and joking with Sissy about how her good work had saved enough money to pay for our lunch and movie, apparently someone was behind me and listening to me talk with Sissy and the nurse.  Something I said or some joke I made triggered something in this person I would never have imagined.  Sissy and I headed on our way, about halfway home we received a phone call, the gentleman behind us felt moved to pay our bill; they were calling to have us come back and pick up our cash.  Speechless!  I was speechless!  He had them enclose the following note with our cash.

There are no words for the gift this random stranger made to my family.  It's not just the money, although $289.25 is no small amount, it was the sentiment behind it.  This man gave sacrificially to someone he didn't know and will probably never see again, how can I do any differently.

CJ, the kids and I have decided to start a 'Pay it forward' fund, we will contribute to it weekly and be praying for God to open our eyes to the needs of others.  We want to have the funds available for whenever God shows us a need, it may not be as grand a gesture as this persons gift, but I bet it will make as big a difference in someone else's life as it did in ours.

First Ballet class

Sissy has been wanting to learn Ballet since we saw The Nutcracker over the holidays.  I was told about a homeschool class held by dancers at a local dance studio, so we went to check it out.  She loved it, she'll be sticking with the homeschool class until probably June and then start with the regular school class, they are preparing for recital so Sissy would be at a disadvantage if we started now.

She looked so cute out there, I loved how they jumped right into the positions and bar work, she already has some stuff to practice and that is what she wanted.

This evening after Ry and I had Taekwondo we had to wait for the boys to finish their class, so we went for a walk.  The sunset on these flowers and the super blue sky behind them was just stunning.

Finally, I'm posting some more sunset pictures.  Yes, I know I post a lot of sunset pictures, but how can you not be in love with God's artistry.  These are straight out of the camera, it was really that pretty.

Project 365/92

While we were waiting for the guys to finish sparring, we decided to enjoy the beautiful weather and play at the park.  Does anyone else see it as a milestone when your child can swing themselves??  It kind of made me sad, they are growing up so fast!

Sissy needed a helping hand with the monkey bars.

I really don't think she could push this lip out any further.  This is what happens when Mom refuses to stop for candy on the way home.  Spoiled much?!?

Random Picture thoughts

A boy and his car, what could be scarier? LOL. We found this car on craigslist right after Christmas and knew it was the perfect car for a 16 yr old boy.

A sleeping child, what could be more peaceful? Sissy has been suffering from 'growing pains' (we think) in the middle of the night and wants mommy to rub her legs, it usually ends with her sleeping with us. The peacefulness is a ruse, she kicks and hits in her sleep, she's a real stinker.
